Detroit Lake, OR

Reservoir in Marion County, Oregon. A 3,500-acre Cascade reservoir on the North Santiam River about an hour east of Salem, Detroit Lake is a popular stocked-trout and kokanee destination ringed by Willamette National Forest. ODFW stocks rainbow trout heavily through spring and summer, and the lake supports kokanee salmon, landlocked Chinook, and warmwater species in the warmer months. Cold, deep water keeps the trout and kokanee bite going into summer.
