Oregon's largest freshwater lake at roughly 90,000 acres, shallow Upper Klamath Lake in the high desert of south-central Oregon is famous for its trophy native redband (rainbow) trout, locally known as Klamath redbands, which can exceed ten pounds. The lake also holds yellow perch and is fed by spring-influenced tributaries. Productive, nutrient-rich water grows big, fast fish.
