Reservoir in Clearwater County, Idaho. A 53-mile-long, very deep Corps of Engineers reservoir on the North Fork Clearwater River near Orofino, formed by Dworshak Dam (one of the tallest dams in the US). Known nationally for its self-sustaining kokanee fishery plus strong smallmouth bass fishing along the rocky shoreline. Steelhead and trout occupy the Clearwater tailwater below the dam. Deep, cold, fluctuating pool.
