The North Platte enters Wyoming from Colorado and flows north through the Saratoga Valley, the Miracle Mile, and Grey Reef, forming one of the most celebrated wild trout tailwater and freestone fisheries in the West. The river holds dense populations of large rainbow and brown trout, with the Miracle Mile and Grey Reef sections producing trophy fish. Below Pathfinder the river warms and adds walleye and channel catfish. Elevation roughly 6,700 ft at Saratoga.
