Reservoir in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. The Wyoming arm of the 42,000-acre Flaming Gorge Reservoir on the Green River, straddling the Wyoming-Utah line in Sweetwater County. The reservoir is famous for trophy lake trout (mackinaw) and is one of the few waters in the Rockies holding burbot and smallmouth bass alongside rainbow and brown trout and kokanee salmon. The Wyoming end near Buckboard and Firehole is the prime lake trout and smallmouth water. Elevation roughly 6,040 ft.
