Reservoir in Keith County, Nebraska. Nebraska's largest reservoir at roughly 30,000 surface acres, impounding the North Platte River behind Kingsley Dam near Ogallala. "Big Mac" is a destination walleye and white bass fishery that also holds wiper (hybrid striped bass), channel catfish, smallmouth and largemouth bass, crappie, and yellow perch. The sweeping white-sand beaches and clear water make it one of the Great Plains' premier multi-species lakes. Spring and early summer are prime for walleye and white bass; the lake also fishes well through the ice.
