The shallow estuarine sound stretching along the Mississippi Gulf Coast from Bay St. Louis through Gulfport and Biloxi to the barrier islands, the heart of MS inshore saltwater fishing. Marsh edges, grass beds, bayous and the barrier-island surf hold spotted seatrout, red drum (redfish), southern flounder, black drum, sheepshead and spanish mackerel. Productive year-round with strong spring and fall runs.
