Reservoir in Maricopa County, Arizona. A roughly 10,000-acre reservoir on the Agua Fria River about 35 miles northwest of Phoenix at Lake Pleasant Regional Park. Arizona's premier striped bass fishery, with strong populations of largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, crappie, channel and flathead catfish, and sunfish. Stripers school and boil on shad in the warm months; bass fishing is best spring and fall. Deep, clear desert reservoir at about 1,700 ft.
