Resurrection Bay (Seward), AK
Bay in Kenai Peninsula Borough County, Alaska. A deep, fjord-like saltwater bay on the Gulf of Alaska coast at Seward, the premier road-accessible saltwater fishery in Southcentral Alaska. Charter and private boats target Pacific halibut, coho (silver) salmon, lingcod, and a variety of Pacific rockfish including prized yelloweye out toward the open Gulf near Aialik Cape. August is the peak month for hatchery- and wild-stock silvers inside the bay, while halibut and bottomfish are pursued through the summer. Seward's harbor and the annual silver salmon derby make it a hub of Alaska saltwater angling.
