The Utah end near the dam is renowned for trophy lake trout (mackinaw), kokanee salmon, rainbow and brown trout, plus smallmouth bass along rocky shorelines. Deep, cold, clear water sustains a world-class cold-water fishery, while the Green River tailwater below the dam is a blue-ribbon trout stream.
