Worden Pond, RI

Lake in Washington County, Rhode Island. Rhode Island's largest natural freshwater lake at roughly 1,040 acres in South Kingstown. Shallow, weedy, and warm, it is one of the state's premier largemouth bass and chain pickerel waters, with strong yellow perch, black crappie, and bluegill populations and the occasional smallmouth bass. The pond feeds the headwaters of the Pawcatuck River. Heavy summer weed growth makes spring and fall the most productive seasons, and it is a popular ice-fishing destination in winter.
