River spanning Yakima/Kittitas counties, Washington. Washington's premier blue-ribbon trout river, flowing roughly 215 miles from the Cascades to the Columbia at Richland. The catch-and-release canyon section between Cle Elum and Ellensburg holds wild rainbow and westslope cutthroat trout and fishes year-round on nymphs, dries, and streamers. Lower reaches add smallmouth bass and the occasional fall Chinook.
