The mainstem Missouri gages through this reach (Fort Randall, Running Water) do not currently serve live temperature or discharge, so the bite score uses the James River near Yankton gauge (USGS 06478513, live discharge in the same lower-Missouri watershed) as a proxy and the seasonal baseline for temperature. Access at the Fort Randall tailrace, Pickstown and the Randall Creek recreation area. Walleye/sauger 15 in minimum from Fort Randall Dam to the Nebraska border; paddlefish by special permit only; sturgeon season closed. Verify on the SDGFP Missouri River regulations page.
