Pemigewasset River, NH

River in Grafton County, New Hampshire. A classic White Mountains freestone river running south from Franconia Notch through Plymouth to its confluence with the Winnipesaukee River, where the two form the Merrimack. The upper Pemi and its tributaries are cold, clean trout water stocked with rainbow and brown trout and holding wild brook trout in the headwater feeders. Below Plymouth the river warms and broadens, adding smallmouth bass and fallfish. Pocket water, riffles, and pools make it a favorite fly and spin trout fishery. Numerous pullouts and access points along US Route 3 and I-93.
