Rocky points, harbor jetties, and reef ledges from Diamond Head to Pearl Harbor hold ulua (giant trevally) and papio, omilu (bluefin trevally), and oio (bonefish) on the sand flats, while boats running from Kewalo Basin and Ala Wai troll just offshore for mahi mahi, ono (wahoo), and ahi (yellowfin tuna). No recreational saltwater license is required, but DAR size and bag limits apply. Warm, stable tropical water in the upper 70s to low 80s F year-round.
